      Over the past few decades, significant advances have been made in the application of 3D imaging and 3D printing technology in contemporary orthodontic practice. Techniques and protocols describing the application of digital technology in orthodontics are collectively called digital orthodontics. These protocols facilitate customization of therapeutic orthodontic devices. In addition to therapeutic orthodontic devices, other appliances like splints or indirect bonding trays are digitally designed by the orthodontist and fabricated using a variety of insourcing/outsourcing combinations. Integrating all these changes in orthodontics, we believe that practitioners need to adjust their approach using all these customized appliances.
