Abstract
The orthodontic industry, like all industries, has undergone significant changes and
technological advancements in the last decade. Although these changes present challenges
and require adaptation, they also allow for additional, more efficient service offerings
to patients and additional opportunities and pathways for orthodontic associates and
owners. This article discusses some of the more significant trends, including the
continuing and accelerating conversion from analog to digital processes, increasing
use of teledentistry technologies, and the continued growth of group practices and
corporate orthodontics.
