Abstract
There has been much talk lately about the poor fate of our beloved specialty, due
to many factors including DIY orthodontics and non-specialists practicing orthodontics.
Practitioners are constantly looking for ways to differentiate their practices and
market to patients. This article will concentrate on the power of using lingual with
a ribbonwise arch wire. As a specialist orthodontist, we use our “know how” to use
the best appliance that matches our patients’ problems i.e. the best tool for the
job. This of course refers to both the patients’ malocclusion and their social and
esthetic concerns as well. We will show how Lingual is a truly esthetic appliance
that can deliver impeccable results.
