Anchorage provision and management in lingual orthodontics requires special consideration. The anchorage strategy using the mechanics and principles described in “Six Anchorage Keys” provides the tools for treating moderate, severe, and mutilated malocclusions. The cases presented demonstrate that good anchorage control can be achieved with lingual orthodontics by using sliding mechanics and following the principles described. The final results confirm that lingual orthodontics is an efficient tool for the treatment of severe malocclusions in adult patients presenting with difficult anchorage problems and high esthetic requirements.
