The skeletal influence of functional appliances on craniofacial growth is still controversial. The main effects of activator treatment are dentoalveolar changes. In an attempt to manage/control or to obtain some dentoalveolar changes, a variety of designs for constructing activators have been proposed. The purpose of this article is to present a modified Teuscher activator, which allows excellent control of upper incisor inclinations.
